Meet Our Team

Kathy DeVries founded Thrive Acquisition to help business professionals reach their personal and business goals. Kathy grew up in a family-owned business environment and early on gained hands-on experience and business acumen through participation in the various aspects of business operations.

Later, Kathy and a family member purchased one of the business units and split it off from the original family business as a standalone entity. Kathy operated that company for sixteen years before divesting. Upon the successful exit of the family business, she was invited to join a brokerage firm and since then has had the opportunity to serve as advisor and broker to other business owners in various capacities.

To become equipped for this role, Kathy went on to become licensed in real estate, complete a MBA, become certified as a business intermediary, and complete numerous educational components.

Kathy also serves as a volunteer in various capacities. As a member of Rotary, Kathy has participated in numerous projects including economic development, clean water, disease prevention, education, hunger prevention, and other causes. She served as president of the Rotary Club of Holland from 2023 – 2025. Kathy has also served as a board member for Good Samaritan Ministries which focuses on poverty alleviation and as deacon in her church.

Kathy has been married to her husband Scott for 40 years. Their three grown children, spouses, and granddaughter live in the West Michigan area.
